Our client is Australia's largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines

ABOUT THE ROLE

Seeking experienced Fixed Plant Maintenance Fitter to commence mid -late January at Ranger Mine. This position will join our decommissioning mechanical team, and report to the maintenance supervisor on a 7-7 days only roster, 12hr days and is approx. 6 months work. DIDO Darwin

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• all aspects of mechanical experience required for decommissioning including removal of some assets

• general labouring duties as part of a larger decommissioning crew

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fixed plant maintenance fitter or suitable trade qualification

• Confined space entry, Gas test atmosphere (within 2 yrs)

• Working at heights required for this role (within 2 yrs)

• Relevant experience in mining or similar heavy industry and a commitment to safety

• Ability to interoperate P&IDs

• Accurate record keeping

Highly regarded:

• Forklift, Non Slew crane, EWP High Risk Work licence

• Relevant mining or heavy industry experience
