About the Client

One of the worlds leading providers of fire safety and security solutions for businesses and organizations, our client has been protecting people and assets worldwide for more than 200 years. Their mission has been to make the world a safer place by protecting you with essential systems, equipment and services. They are currently seeking an experienced Portable Technician who will be reporting to their Salisbury Office.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be required to work Monday - Friday and will be provided with onsite job training from their Senior Technicians and Supervisors. You will be responsible for servicing portable fire equipment on their customer premises and recommending portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to comply with specific Australian Standards. You will also be responsible for auditing client's locations, quoting & selling the full range of portable fire protection and safety systems, equipment, and services, identifying, repairing & installing portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment and completing and providing evidence of maintenance performed on equipment using electronic maintenance records.

  • The successful candidate will have previous industry experience in the fire protection industry including servicing, maintaining & selling fire hose reels, fire extinguishers and related products, and be able to obtain or already have industry accreditation.

  • A current (QLD) QBCC Licence, for Fire - Portables Class/Stream for Install and maintenance of Portable Equipment, is mandatory

  • A sound knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Portable Service fire protection equipment

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a qualified Portable Service Technician

  • Professional experience or qualifications specified by any applicable local classification structure
