About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer - Metallurgist to join the team at Rio Tinto based in Perth. This position will be working a Monday to Friday roster based in Perth for a 6 month duration.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with improvements to processing deliverables and team processes to optimise workflow

• Support metallurgical inputs into studies from conceptual to feasibility stage (Studies and Sustaining Capital projects)

• Plan metallurgical drill core

• Manage metallurgical test work

• Data analysis and interpretation of test work results

• Support flowsheet development and process modelling

• Share technical outcomes with relevant stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5-10 yearsexperience in mineral process engineering or related technical discipline

• Ability to work across discipline and geographic boundaries, connecting people to collaboratively solve problems

• Experience in teams that have delivered continuous improvement objectives

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Process Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent)

• Excellent communication and influencing skills

• Processing experience

• MS Office Excel

• Current C Class drivers licence
