We are currently seeking a production worker for a water meter manufacturing operation in Adelaide.
Tasks required for this role are as follows:
1. Pick and Pack meters to customer specifications and work instructions
- Insert valves to customer specifications, engrave meters per customer serial number requirements, scan and record meter test numbers, label and pack each meter into a carton
2. Program meters to customer specifications and work instructions
- Assemble RF device to meter, select customer and product on Perso (Computer) as per order, enter customer order details into Perso (Computer)and follow instructions, scan RF device to record its serial number identification, label and pack meter into carton
3. Build 25mm and 32mm meters to product specifications
- Assemble a series of components to form a meter for testing
4. Test meters to customer specifications and work instructions
- Setup the meter bench as per procedure, test meter to product specifications and work instructions, record and input test data into computer as per work instructions, inform Quality control Management on meter test failures
5. Assemble C & I meters and components to customer specifications
- Fit and assemble spacers, dirt boxes and flanges to customer requirements, pack and label flange kits to the bill of materials listing on each sales order
6. The use of computers in production
- Locate and open customer files, input of customer details or test data as required, select and use customer files to engrave or program sales orders, select and enter customer order details to print carton labels, save and name test files
7. The use of mobile equipment in production
- Utilize a pallet truck to transfer stock on production floor and potentially use a crane to lift C&I meters when testing
9. Quality control checks
- Carry out single or layer checks on meters processed to product and customer specifications, inspection and check C&I flange kits and components to specifications and Bill of materials, counting and recording W.I.P weekly
A strong safety focus and attention to detail is required, as is ability to meet production targets
All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment medical.
