Large workshop / production environment
Our client is located in Melbourne's Northern suburbs that has been operating for over 50 years, specialising in steel pipe manufacturing. The successful candidate will be required to work as a production worker assisting with cutting and measuring steel pipe and using production machinery.
Duties & responsibilities
Checking the quality of pipes and also patching the Sintakote, cement or paint if needed
Operated motorised trolleys and K9 to move, push or pull pipes.
Inspected and tested components, assemblies and power tools.
Received and correctly processed both written and verbal instructions, prints and work orders.
Disassembled, reassembled and corrected changeover.
Repainted and precisely touched-up components and assemblies.
Measured and adjusted chemical feed rates.
Performed minor mechanical work and routine equipment maintenance.
Recorded paint volumes and processed analyser readings.
Conducted safety inspections and followed safety rules and procedures.
Skills & Experience
Must have full working rights to work in Australia
Two work references for previous welding roles
Will have to undertake a weld test and pre-employment medical
Able to read and interpret structural plans
Experience in a similar production environment
Successful candidates will have to pass a weld test, drug and alcohol and full pre-employment medical.
