About the Role:

WorkPac is seeking an experienced Student Engagement Officer, based in the Perth CBD, for 2-3 days per week (24 hours). We are seeking a candidate with strong project management and communication skills to coordinate the expansion of our university engagement program. The goal of the program is to attract talented university students to our business by supporting their professional development throughout their studies. The program operates a number of different initiatives to achieve this goal.. This position has a initial 6-month duration, with the potential for extension.

This role would suit a student currently studying STEM and/or science communication, or someone with a background in education and/or mining looking for a part time opportunity. The candidate would be expected to work independently across a wide stakeholder network to expand the existing program, evaluate effectiveness to refine the program, and design new initiatives to increase scope and engagement.

What you will be doing:

• Managing a student career mentoring program

• Recruiting and onboarding candidates for paid internship for STEM university students

• Designing engagement events for university students to network and learn about our business

• Coordinating attendance of leaders and technical experts at engagement events such as careers fairs

What you need:

• Suited to student studying STEM or science communication, or someone with background in either of these areas looking for part time work. Experience in mining and/or STEM engagement programs (for high school or university students) favoured.

• A current Australian driver's license
