About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Specialist to join our client, BHP for a strategy and tactics project based in Brisbane. The role will be responsible for supporting strategy development of fixed plant coal assets using their knowledge of business processes and following company principles. This role is a 12 month opportunity working full time hours, offering hybrid working arrangements, Brisbane office based with some site travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritise work based on project schedule requirements

• Data entry work into standardised templates

• Communicate with key project stake holders ensure routine communications are maintained.

• Support workshops with maintenance personnel to populate Corrective Action information.

• Support Project manager in running of the project budgeting, team travel mobilisation and organisational change management process.

• Assist in the development of power point presentations for project mile stones.

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary degree in business or similar with relevant industry experience

• Strong communication and stake holder engagement skills

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to work from Brisbane CBD office location

• A team-focused approach with strong communication skills

• Previous exposure to mining or heavy equipment industry

• Knowledge of equipment Downtime accounting systems

• Experience with automation technology

• Experience with SAP

• Experience with heavy mobile equipment fleets
