Project Cost Controller

About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Cost Controller to provide support within Project Controls. This role is working with our client Rio Tinto on a Monday to Friday roster, located in their Darwin office with a great supportive team for a 6 month engagement with the possibility of extension.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for raising purchase requisitions in SAP

  • Regular Service Entry receipting of invoices in SAP

  • Check and route cost control documents through DocuSign for approval while following the Project?s DFA

  • Monitor and assist with the conversion of purchase requisitions to Purchase Orders

  • Preparing CARs, and PCNs for approval

  • Updating PRISM with SAP cost data, PCNs, CAR and PCN status.

  • Closing out PRISM and publishing a suite of reports from PRISM at the end of each month.

  • Collate accruals for the Ranger Closure project each month

  • Providing other cost control related support to the Project controls team and answer queries from the Ranger Closure Project Team

  • Participate in monthly package forecast meetings and follow up any actions required

Skills and Experience

  • Have excellent attention to detail

  • Exposure and understanding of CARs and PCNs

  • Previous experience within a cost control environment

  • Knowledge of SAP, preferably with Group Requisitioner responsibility
