About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking Engineers with demonstrated project capabilities within the mining industry, who are also interested in developing their operational and maintenance engineering experience, to join Rio Tinto's Utilities Maintenance Engineering - Water, Waster Water and Hydrocarbons team. Perth based at the Operations Centre, Monday to Friday. 12-month contract.
Providing technical input to the following processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Design, procurement and installation of new hydrocarbons and water assets or upgrades to existing assets.
Expansion of infrastructure to support the growth of Pilbara Operations.
Review of RTIO Engineering Standard Specifications and Design Criteria
Operational readiness, including development and improvement of maintenance tactics for hydrocarbons and water assets.
Driving and collaborating with sites, major suppliers, and service providers to scope and implement process and infrastructure improvements.
Managing divisionally based hydrocarbon and water supply and infrastructure projects from pre-feasibility through to execution.
Managing Utilities Hydrocarbons and Water CAPEX budget spend and capitalisation, including projects being delivered within Utilities as well as those being executed by other divisions for Utilities.
Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
8+ years project and/or utilities experience (watering, dewatering, hydrocarbons, wastewater)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis and design.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Leadership and mentoring capabilities (preferred)
WA C Class Drivers Licence
