About the Role:
We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the team at Rio Tinto DSL based in Perth. The successful candidate will work a Monday to Friday roster and be responsible for management and delivery of capital projects and major maintenance works for electrical and control system assets.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Project development including scopes of work, options analysis, design criteria, equipment selection and applications for capital expenditure.
Financial and cost management develop a project budget, manage and control costs effectively, identify savings.
Procurement and contractor engagement develop and run project tenders, evaluate contractors and suppliers for equipment and execution works.
Implementation in collaboration with contractor supervisors, oversee all aspects of the fabrication and installation works including safety, compliance, quality, schedule and cost.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience in project development and delivery in mining and/or construction required.
Engineering degree or certificate in electrical or control systems required.
Project management qualifications advantageous.
Rio Tinto project delivery, procurement and systems experience advantageous.
