About the Role

WorkPac are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our client Rio Tinto for a 12 month duration located in their Perth office with ADHOC site travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accountable for the management of individual non-process infrastructure (NPI) projects in the Greater Nammuldi region, ensuring Scope, Schedule and Budget deliverables are met and are completed in compliance with Company processes.

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the individual NPI mining projects, including the management of Contractors and their Sub-Contractors.

• Manage Engineering Consultants to ensure designs are compliant with Project and Business objectives.

• Develop Scope of Work, Tender Documentation and Contractual documentation key for Vendor pricing.

• Utilise the Sustaining Capital Project Framework to progress projects from Studies to Handover.

• Complete field inspections of Project work, focusing on Safety, Quality and Scope compliance.

• Work with key support team and build relationship with key stakeholders.

• Project reporting to internal stakeholders and management.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in delivering NPI projects in the mining industry;

• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects highly regarded;

• On-site contractor and sub-contractor management favoured but not essential; and

• SAP experience favoured but not essential.

• Experience with project management and engineering in studies and construction as a project leader for full life cycle.

• Experience with project delivery in the Pilbara.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.);

• Working knowledge in MS Project and Primavera P6; and

• Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and be driven to achieve results.
