Project Engineer, Sustaining Capital

About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our clients Tailings and Earthworks project team situated at Central park. This position will require the successful candidate to adhere to adhoc site travel as required.

Duties:

-Support program management of the bulk earthworks and civil portfolio in Sustaining Capital, comprising studies through to construction and close out.

-Reporting to the program lead, the role will involve supporting project leads within the portfolio as well as advancing program maturity

Core duties include

-Engaging and managing consultants including for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies

-Coordinating technical queries through internal and external stakeholders

-Creating accurate project budgets and cashflow forecasts

-Creating project schedules to meet business requirements

-Advising on compliance with internal and external governance

-Capital planning and project coordination

-Providing safety leadership and promoting the highest HSEQ standards

-Reviewing construction methodology and tender documentation

-Managing quality and risk

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, the candidate will have:

-5-10 years project managing bulk earthworks and civil projects including construction of roads, tailings dams and associated infrastructure

-Experience in construction projects for mining companies in the Pilbara is desirable

-Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

-Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and be driven to achieve results
