About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Lead to join our client Rio Tinto in their Sustaining Capital team for a 12 month duration. This role is located in the Perth office working a Monday and Friday roster, 8 hour days with ADHOC site travel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Management of all project elements (cost, quality, schedule) related to capital projects in accordance with the RT Sustaining Capital Portfolio Framework using standard tools, procedures and specifications
Provide leadership in the management of all aspects of health, safety, environment and community in relation to Rail capital projects
Management of Consultants; Engineering Service Providers and Contractors in the delivery of Rail projects ensuring project objectives are met
Engage and liaise with all stakeholders providing progress updates of engineering and construction activities in accordance with the project schedule
Act as point of communication between the Perth and Operational teams
Review and implement project plans, documents and standards
Ensure all site construction activities are delivered in line with Rio Tinto HSE standards and policies
Develop and participate in improvement initiatives related to capital project delivery
Skills and Experience
Relevant/Trade qualification in project manager
Project management experience preferably within a brownfield mining or heavy industrial environment
Owners team project management experience
Rail/Heavy haulage rail experience
