Our client produces iron ore for steel, aluminium for cars and smart phones, copper for wind turbines, diamonds that set the standard for responsible, titanium for household products and borates for crops that feed the world.

About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Learning and Development Advisor to work with stakeholders to define and design learning outcomes that achieve the best solution for the business. You will based at West Angeles mine, FIFO from Perth. This position will hold an 8/6 roster, with competitive rates available for the successful applicant.

This role is a great opportunity to develop your strong learning & development background and project management skills whilst engaging a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Superintendent for Learning & Development, you will be:

  • Planning, coordinating and facilitating annual learning needs analysis workshops through understanding the wider business context, influencing and stakeholder engagement.

  • Executing capability development reviews, providing insights and analytics.

  • Providing analytical input for on-the-job trainer development, including capability, quality, resource levelling and the annual workforce planning process.

  • Engaging new Supervisors, Superintendents, Managers and GMs on the L&D framework systems and priority deliverables.

  • Partnering with the business to understand its strategic plans/priorities and guide key stakeholders through the efficient development of new learning assets

  • Identifying opportunities for development and rationalisation of systems and the adoption of a common / consistent approach to learning.

Skills and Experience:

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment

  • 2-5 Years experience in a Learning and Development role

  • Experience in engaging with key stakeholders to undertake high quality learning needs analysis based on business objectives.

  • Experience in the application of adult learning principals as well as a willingness to be open to changing learning and development techniques including the use of technology.

  • Experience in presenting, facilitating, coaching and developing to achieve operational capability outcomes.

  • The capability to engage and influence at all levels of business along with managing projects from inception to execution within targeted timeframes.

  • Business acumen, experience in data analysis and providing insights with a strong attention to detail.
