About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a Project Team Leader to act as maintenance support for the plant maintenance team with Rio Tinto on a 8:6 roster.

The key focus of this role is to provide direct support to the Plant Maintenance Planners in turn delivering effective and efficient materials consolidation to Rio Tinto's Pilbara mining operations. The focus is on providing a high level of operational support to customers in a zero-harm culture

The purpose of this role is to participate in the daily consolidation of scheduled planned maintenance for Rio Tinto Iron Ore operations at Tom Price. The specific focus is to support the maintenance planning and execution functions to ensure efficient and effective coordination of parts consolidation for Planned and Scheduled Maintenance. The Officer Maintenance Support is accountable for timely delivery of correct parts to maintainers in order to undertake scheduled work (designated as PM01 and PM02 type (Work Orders in SAP).

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Engagement with maintenance Planners and Schedulers: o Participate in planning and scheduling meetings;

• Assist maintenance team in general application of efficient maintenance planning methodologies;

• Analyse parts requirements for planned work;

• Ensure timely consolidation of parts through the coordination with Maintenance Planners, Schedulers, Warehouse Officers and freight providers, RTP Buy team and vendors;

• Timely notification to maintenance Planners and Schedulers of any parts supply issues which may impact planned or scheduled work;

• Consolidate materials (ready for delivery) in accordance with scheduled Work Orders;

• Coordinate the return of stock to the warehouse in accordance with the RTIV process for the credit, vendor credit or disposal.

• Actively engage in warehouse operations

Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment as utilised within Bulk Ore Mining Operations.

• Warehouse and distribution operations experience

• High level of knowledge to extract information from SAP on purchasing, maintenance and supply systems
