About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Project Advisorsto join the team at Rio Tinto based on site at Yandi and Gudai Darri mine sites. This position will be working an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth for a 12 month duration with potential to extend.

Responsibilities and Duties:

We are looking for a motivated team player to join the Sustaining Capital Yandi / Gudai Darri Team as a Project Advisor to assist in delivering a variety of projects across our Pilbara operations and communities.

  • Manage and coach our Contracting Partners in RTIO systems and processes

  • Promote a safe workplace culture, investigate safety incidents and ensure actions are implemented accordingly

  • Provide site support and collaborate with Project Leads to ensure project safety, schedule and quality are met throughout all phases of the project lifecycle

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Project Leads, contracting partners, area owners and other stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required:

You will be passionate about developing and supporting diverse teams and contracting partners in achieving successful outcomes for our projects. You place a strong focus on health and safety, quality assurance and the environment. You thrive collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams and engaging multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent people, communication and influencing skills

  • Interpret and implement systems, processes and procedures

  • Good understanding of Project Management principles

  • Able to work effectively in an agile environment

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Effective time management

  • Ability to challenge assumptions and deliver initiatives to improve projects and processes
