About the Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing/ Logistics Officer for an immediate start based in Adelaide.

This role is based in our client's production facility in Wingfield, Adelaide and will provide an opportunity to transition into a materials planning or quality specialist position for the right applicant. The successful candidate will provide support across analysis of quality data and improvements, compliance documentation, development of quality plans and materials management.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse, plan and manage inventory, service levels and backorder

• Monitor exceptions (backorders and overstocks) and resolve as quickly as practical.

• Arrange warehousing for goods

• Improve materials related inventory control systems and activities

• Liaise with Suppliers for pricing and tracking of orders, following up back orders as required.

• To work in conjunction with other purchasing staff to meet the demands for stock inventory and job related materials.

• Management of quality system, data management and control utilizing centralized databases

• Comply with all environmental, operational, quality & safety requirements outlined in work instructions

• Assist Quality Specialist with development of quality plans, correlation of process data with manufacturing and engineering information and process capability and product quality control

Experience Requirements:

• Prior Background in Logistics and Purchasing or Similar Industry

• Previous experience in Purchasing in an Industrial Setting

• Previous background in Quality Systems, Data Management and Centralised Databases Highly Regarded

• Proficiency in English both oral and written

• Strong Computer Literacy with Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• C Class Driver's License and Own Transport
