Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.
About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Project Lead / Specialist Advisor for a role based in Perth on a 5:2. This position will be for a 12 month duration.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Contributes to our progressive rehabilitation program through planning, procurement and project management of rehabilitation earthworks projects
Works in partnership with our site operations teams and contract partners to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and in conformance with rehabilitation requirements and standards
Supports the business via provision of rehabilitation and revegetation SME advice, including soils, growth media, revegetation & seed
Contributes to internal/external reporting and stakeholder engagements as required
Role requires semi regular short duration field visits to the Pilbara operations
Preferred Background / Industry Experience:
Experience in Mining Operational environments
Exposure to Project Management and Stakeholder engagement
Experience/Exposure to rehabilitation activities and/or re-vegetation (highly desirable)
GIS software skills
Microsoft Office Applications
