About the Role
To ensure company operations are undertaken safely in compliance with statutory requirements and in accordance with the company WHS system requirements. The road construction project is in the APY Lands in remote South Australia on a 3:1 FIFO roster. Accommodation is camp accommodation on site which is a self-sufficient camp on the project site.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
The implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Safety Management Systems established on specific project sites.
Participating in Project Risk Assessments and risk mitigation methods.
Ensuring compliance to the company WHS Policy, WHS Management Plan and Safety Procedures.
Implementation of the company Fitness for Work Policy and procedures
Ensuring all personnel, including visitors are site inducted in accordance with company procedures.
Reporting and investigation of all incidents and accidents
Leading Site Safety Inspections
Providing internal training in Safety procedures to employees as required,
Maintaining and managing project Safety records
Complete monthly project Safety Reports
Attend Internal Project Safety Audits
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have the following: -
Certificate IV WHS
Senior 1st Aid
Internal Auditor Training
Proven experience in the Civil Industry
Ability to work closely with Clients, Subcontractors and Suppliers
Proven communication & organizational skills
Current Drivers Licence
Industry Induction White Card
