Senior Environmental Advisor
About the Role
WorkPac are currently partnering with a T1 Mining and Asset owner in Australia. As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will provide key mentoring and leadership to your team and assist with environmental proposals working heavily with operations and field teams. This position is a FIFO opportunity on a 2:1 roster.
Environmental Approvals review (PER, EPBC, Mining Proposals, NVCP, Works Approvals).
Implement environmental compliance in accordance with ISO14001 Standard.
Auditing and Compliance management of Mining Proposals, Part IV/V approvals, associated Management Plans and the Eliwana Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
Environmental obligation compliance management and communication.
Support and review implementation of Environmental Management Plans.
Oversee proposed infrastructure and bulk earthworks (HAZOBs).
Risk Assessment - Project Risk Register, Construction Risk Assessment Workshops (CRAW) and HAZIDs. Schedule and manage improvement actions.
Review, approve and audit Land Use Certificates (LUC).
Develop and update management plans, procedures and standard work instructions.
Coach owners and contractor teams on environmental expectations.
Conduct safety and environmental field interactions.
Develop and deliver applicable induction and training material.
Skills and Experience
Prior experience in a role at a comparable level
Professional experience working in regulatory reporting (CAR, AER, MRF etc.)
Comprehensive knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations in mining
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related disciplines
WA ???C?? Class Drivers Licence
GIS management and map development (ArcGIS).
