Senior HR Advisor

About the Role

You will work collaboratively with other department professionals to ensure quality people management practices across specialist fields including safety and wellbeing, performance and conduct, professional development, industrial relations, state-wide recruitment, culture and workforce reporting. You will also be required to work closely with managers, staff, volunteers and stakeholders to deliver timely innovative fit for purpose outcomes for our diverse workforce. This position will be full time working Monday to Friday.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic HR advice and support, such as case management activities, to deliver practical business outcomes and ensure quality people management practices.

  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of current HR practices and systems, industrial instruments and emerging trends to ensure compliance and/or provide recommendation for continuous improvement.?

  • Analyse employee data to address individual and broader workforce issues, define risks and present evidence-based solutions to support decision making processes.

  • Represent the department and participate in HR projects and working groups to ensure outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes and meet business and clients needs.

  • Contribute to team cohesiveness and capability through participation in professional development opportunities and promotion of a positive environment, respectful of the views of others.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources

  • 5+ years experience as a HR generalist

  • Knowledge and experience in contemporary HR management and best practice.

  • Knowledge of IR frameworks

  • High level of Integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident

  • Ability to providing coaching, support and advice to leaders in relation to all facets of HR.

  • Exceptional stakeholder communication with all levels of industry.
