About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor for an full time, permanent opportunity within the Hunter Valley. Relocation assistance and highly competitive remuneration packages will be available for the successful applicant.

Our client is located four kilometres south-west of Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley region of NSW and is a community focused organisation that supplies international markets with approximately ten million tonnes of thermal coal per annum.

Duties will Include:

Working a day shift Monday to Friday roster you will be accountable for:

  • Updating Digital Record Tracings as per Statutory requirements.

  • Ensuring the Mine meets Statutory Mine Survey requirements.

  • Reviewing and completing statutory plans as required.

  • Maintaining BOSSI Mine Surveyor registration.

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely provision of survey control to enable mining operations to be carried out efficiently.

  • Providing spatial information services for mine planning, operations, CHPP, environmental and other customers.

  • Providing survey and production data for end of month reporting and reconciliation.

  • Compliance monitoring and reporting against mine design, as required for safe and effective operations.

  • Maintaining a high standard data control system.

  • Providing field support for exploration, and other project-type activities.

Requirements of the Position Include:

  • Registration as a Mining Surveyor under the Surveying and Spatial Information Act 2002

  • Minimum of five years??? experience in the survey control of open cut mines.

  • Strong focus on safety.

  • Proven ability to manage people.

  • Computer Skills (using Maptek software systems, Pix4D and Klau highly desirable)

  • Experience with Drone and GPS systems for survey.

  • Strong understanding of relevant mining legislation and industry practice.

  • Familiarity with machine guidance systems.

  • Current "C" Class Driver's License and Own Transport

  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
