About the Role
WorkPac have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor for an immediate start on a on going contract with Whitehaven Coal located in the Gunnedah Basin. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal productivity of crew members while supervising the safe execution of activities. They will require strong adherence to Whitehaven's policies and procedures and will play a vital role in meeting cost and volume KPIs.

You will work a Monday to Friday roster- 10.5 hour shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the production crew and ensure compliance to strict safety processes and procedures.

• Manage performance of crew members

• Ensure optimal productivity to hit KPI targets

• Be involved in daily and weekly production planning and communicate through to the crew members via pre-shift meetings

• Provide technical support for Operators

• Perform inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure compliance and safety

• Communicate potential hazards and risks involved in each task

Skills & Experience

• Supervisory experience within an Open Cut Coal Mining environment

• Previous operating experience

• Strong leadership and management skills

• The ability to communicate adequate plans and schedules

• Drivers Licence

• Ability to pass a Pre Employment Medical and Drug Screening

• OCE Ticket (highly advantageous)
