Service Centre Manager

About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Service Centre Manager for our industrial machinery client in their brand new facility in Karratha. The successful candidate will oversee the facility including 40 other employees, overseeing the day-to-day safety operations.

Responsibilities will Include:

  • Demonstrate strong and cohesive safety leadership, including managing safety performance, ongoing reviewing and implementing safety procedures

  • Lead HSE Meetings, audits and reviews.

  • Lead incident investigations, understand root cause analysis and implement correct actions

  • Ensure all steps of the QA/QC system are understood and implemented.

  • Gain an understanding of each repair job in progress, walk the floor, guide and mentor

  • Provide technical advice and be innovative, identify ways to improve job efficiency and workshop layout

  • Develop, coach and mentor your immediate team and all employees within the Service Centre.

  • Lead customer visits, demonstrate knowledge of the Client's jobs, answer questions and promote the brand.

  • Liaise with Repairs vendors ensuring company repair procedures are adhered to at all times, repairs are executed safely and to the required quality standard on time and under budget.

  • Authorise the issue and return of drawings and technical information under the Document Control procedure

  • Work with global and local teams to implement new repair opportunities

  • Manage staff utilisation and ensure absorption of overheads meet budget requirements.

  • Create an annual capital expenditure plan and create business cases for each item

Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years experience in Maintenance/Repairs within the mining industry or similar

  • Relevant tertiary or trades qualification in related engineering discipline

  • Strong leadership training and development skills

  • Good understanding of mining equipment, engineering repair procedures and interpreting engineering drawings and operational manuals

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Right to work in Australia
