About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Service Manager for a permanent position with our industrial client based in Hemmant, Brisabne.
Our client are an international water solutions and service provider that focus on developing and providing a variety of water focused equipment, products and services. They are looking for a Service Manager to oversee day to day activities in the service and rental operations and assist to increase business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team and senior management to assist with succession planning, reporting and mentoring. This role is an on-going, permanent position based at their Brisbane branch.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Achieve service and rental targets, develops and maximise growth opportunities by supporting the sales, Growth Centre and Business Development teams to increase new opportunity for product and services
Arranges the performance of service and emergency work on pumping and associated equipment at customer premises.
Oversees the Service Coordinator role in the arrangement and performance of service and emergency work on pumping and associated equipment at customers premises, processing service and hire quotations and billing, and maintaining the rental system to ensure accurate reporting.
Maintaining rental fleet in a "ready for rental" condition and liaise with the rental team to ensure client is positioned to service rental customers in a timely manner
Manage small team of 3-4 direct reports and around 20 indirect reports
Liaise with the GC, Marketing and Supply Chain departments as required to ensure adequate stock levels of spare parts to meet customer demands and future growth opportunities
Requirements for the role:
Minimum 5-6years experience in Service, preferably in an engineering environment Demonstrated experience in a service management capacity, with exposure to business management principles.
An understanding of the pump industry, combined with qualifications in a mechanical based trade, or a sound mechanical and mathematical aptitude is desirable or a background in engineering, marketing or business.
Must hold good communication skills with internal stakeholders and customers
Must hold current drivers license
Must hold full working rights in Australia
