About our Client

About the Role

An ongoing opportunity exists for experienced shotfirers based at Rio Tinto's mine site.

Reporting to the Drill & Blast Superintendent, you will be associated with the safe and secure operation of all shot firing duties on site, including running shots, setting up blast zone clearances, the safe operation of mobile manufacturing units, responsible for ordering and correct storage, handling and transportation of explosives on site.

As a key member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in implementing our client's production requirements.

Skills and Experience

• 2 + years experience shotfiring experience in an open pit iron ore mine site or similar

• 2 + years Blast Hole experience

• Current Shotfirers licence

• Dangerous Goods Security Card

• Manual C class Australian issued drivers licence (minimum)

• HR drivers licence (preferred)

• Appointed shotfirer experience (preferred)
