About the Role
WorkPac are seeking Sentry Workers and Trades Assistants to join our Processing Shutdown (BHP) based at Olympic Dam mine site near Roxby Downs SA. The Shutdown will run for 2 weeks from 12th - 26th March. You will be required to complete training from 8th March.

A bus will be available for residents near Adelaide and Camp and Meals provided for the Training period and Shutdown.

Note that from the 1st March 2023 it is no longer a site requirement to be Vaccinated against COVID-19

What you will be doing:

Working a 12hr roster, on either day or night shift, you will be performing the following duties:

Sentry

• Monitoring and Gas Testing confined space areas

• Operate or spot EWP as required

• Ability to read, understand, develop and implement quality work instructions and permits to work

• Quality control driven with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in a team and autonomously

Trades Assistant

• Enter confined space areas as required

• Work at heights as required

• Operate or spot EWPs as required

• Assist trades teams safely

• Hosing tanks and general house keeping

• Ability to work in a team and follow procedures

What you will need

• Essential: National Confined Space Entrant

• Preferred: National Gas Testing Qualifications including standby skill sets

• Preferred: High Risk EWP

• Preferred: National Working at Heights

• Preferred: High Risk EWP (Elevated Working Platform)
