About the Role:

WorkPac is currently seeking an Experienced Site Manager in Rockhampton for a large construction project involving individual residents and a large communal area building. This is a permanent full-time role, and the salary is negotiable for the successful applicant depending on experience.

Applicants must be local or be willing to relocate to Rockhampton, this position is for an immediate start.

The primary objective of this role is to assist the Site teams in the delivery of the projects by performing a variety of tasks. The role will suit someone with a strong safety focus and understanding of current WHSE legislative requirements relevant to construction projects, who are able to build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders including Clients, Consultants and Contract Partners

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and scheduling subcontractors

  • Ensuring the project is kept on schedule and budget

  • On site safety

  • Quality Management

  • Run Toolbox meetings

  • Reporting to the project Manager and relevant stakeholders

  • Manage conflicting priorities on site

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience as a Site Manager.

  • Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)

  • Demonstrated site experience with knowledge and understanding of building and construction trades and sequencing of works.

  • A strong focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge and understanding of QES obligations, legislative codes of practice and safe work method statements (SWMS)

  • Construction management or trade background preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate subcontractors and deliveries to ensure program expectations are met.

  • Be able to work as part of a team as you will be working closely with Project Managers and Contract Administrators.
