About the Role

The Site Manager is responsible for co-ordinating the construction activities on the project to undertaken by various Contractors engaged to deliver the works. Be on hand throughout the delivery to assess progress and solve problems that arise.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the design and potential delivery problems.

  • Ensure labour is being used to optimum performance.

  • Forecast operational requirements.

  • Analyse various cost/construction options to determine most cost effective alternatives.

  • Monitor Contractor scope of works.

  • Attend site meetings.

  • Cost control, monitoring and reporting in conjunction with Project Manager.

  • Assist in the collation, analysis and determining of variations submitted by the Contractors.

  • Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control.

  • Maintain control and responsibility for the security across the project.

  • Monitor the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.

  • Effectively communicate and lead all on-site Contractors.

  • Environmental Management duties & Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have the following: -

  • 20+ years' experience in residential developments essential.

  • Civil Engineering qualification

  • Strong IT skills

  • Highly organised

  • Knowledge of construction processes

  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures

  • Strong written skills
