About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Service Supervisor for a permanent position with our cleaning and hygiene solutions company based in Townsville.
An experience Service Supervisor is required to oversee the cleaning and sanitations operations of our clients' food processing site in Townsville. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will confidently supervisor and manage a team of 10-15 services workers to perform sanitation duties. You will be required to establish work schedules, provide staff supervision during shifts and take part in management meetings reporting on performance. This is a permanent role working Tuesday to Friday nightshift, hours would be 8pm to 4am. The role may require occasional management meetings on Mondays often once a month maximum.
Key Duties and Responsibilities could include but not limited to:
Oversee a team of 10-15 hygiene and sanitation workers to complete cleaning tasks during nightshift throughout the food processing site
Provide leadership, direction & support to your site, evaluate performance, provide staff supervision, establish work schedules, delegate tasks and accountabilities, and establish a site structure.
Drive continuous improvement of training and development by providing direct mentoring and coaching to 2ICs, leading hands, and cleaners who wish to progress within the Company.
Drive a strong Workplace Health & Safety culture at your site ensure policies are always practiced/adhered to and conduct training and verification checks to ensure employees are competent in safe work practices.
Manage and maintain company's operational standards, policies and procedures at your site.
Experience Required:
Prior team leader, supervisor or management experience essential
Prior leadership experience in manufacturing or sanitation highly regarded
Experience in hands on hygiene, cleaning or sanitation work highly regarded
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute to senior meetings as well as lead team meetings on site
Hold either an Australian citizenship or a permanent resident visa status
