The client services several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines. About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a skilled and experienced OCE to commence at a mine in the Bowen Basin. You will be working a roster shift with successful candidates starting as soon as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Open Cut Examiner qualifications

• Responsibility for mine safety and health of persons in or around the surface excavation during mining activities

• Other duties given to the examiner under the mineâs safety and health management system

• Inspect a surface mine excavation and the part of the mine near the excavation where activities, including mining activities, are to be, or are being carried out

• Acknowledge mining reports

• Reduce risks

• Effective communication skills

• A robust focus on safety and achieving production targets

• Ability to work well under pressure

Skills and Experience:

• RII/ Training Transcript 

• Experience operating and / or supervising heavy earthmoving equipment including haul trucks, dozers, graders, loaders and excavators

• Hold certificate S1,2,3 & G2 (OCE tickets)

• Current Standard 11 or equivalent

• Current Coal Board Medical

• Current Driver's Licence and Right to work within Australia
