About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a Sourcing Specialist to work within Rio Tintoâs Procurementâs Labour & Maintenance team supporting the service agreement and purchasing of key materials required by the COVID-19 business response. 6-month contract with possibility of extension. Perth based, Monday to Friday.

Rio Tinto Procurement (RTP) provides supply chain services that deliver value to the Rio Tinto Group through the strategic sourcing and buying of goods and services for all operations and businesses. Playing a fundamental role, value is achieved through uniformed processes, e-technology, increased corporate social responsibility and measurable saving for the Group.

Duties includes:

Supporting in developing communications to suppliers

Executing and managing service agreements

Collaborating with other RTP stakeholders to ensure the maintenance of inventory for key goods required.

Engaging and managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

Provide procurement category support including.

Skills & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain, Law and related

Proficiency in verbal and written communications including report writing, presentations.

Commercial acumen, problem solving and analytical capabilities.

Exposure to commercial negotiations and strategy development

Effective time management to enable on time delivery of projects.

1-2 yearsâ experience in a similar procurement role (desirable)

Exposure to resources industry (desirable)
