About the Client

WorkPac are seeking a Specialist Asset Systems Contracts Professional to join our leading Mining Client for a casual position for an immediate start within the Brisbane CBD. This position will be for an initial 6-month duration with potential to extend, and will have a Monday to Friday Roster, 40 hours per week. There is flexibility for working hybrid WFH arrangements (1 day WFH originally per week , then 50% once fully trained).

A core focus of this role will be providing the primary interface between internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure contractual terms are met.

This role involves management of multi-site contracts across operations, including appointment as the Contract Owner.

Your role will include:

• Ensuring contract compliance with the Standard Contractor Management Framework (CMF), Charter, Code of Conduct, Our Requirements and relevant statutory obligations.

• Facilitating/attending meetings with internal and external stakeholders to encourage deeper relationships with all supply chain partners.

• Monitor performance of work under contract at all levels in line with contracted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Escalate contractual issues to relevant stakeholders and coordinate the facilitation and resolution of issues.

• Manage the documentation and follow a review/approval process for the execution of variation/amendment requests for contracts in accordance with company guidelines.

• Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to assist with the development of new contracts.

• Maintain business intelligence of actual spend under contract and forecasting for proactive management of the contract, and ongoing requirements.

• Drive business for continuous improvement strategies

• Develop, complete and maintain Scopes of Work in consultation with subject matter experts

• Auditing of activities under the Contract, document management and record keeping.

What you will need :

• Tertiary qualification desirable (procurement, engineering, business, law) or similar with experience within the mineral resources industry.

• Two to five years experience on relationship management with a demonstrated understanding of project services and the mechanics of a panel of contracts.

• Exceptional engagement and collaboration skills in managing stakeholder relationships.

• Interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.

• Strong multi-tasking and organisational management skills.

• Proficient in the MS Office Suite of products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, SAP experience and experience in a mature Contract Management System (CMS) is preferred.

• An understanding of the Queensland Mining Act and Regulations.

• An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment, and sustainable development.

• Demonstrated experience with contract law or contract management.
