Specialist Maintenance Readiness - Asset Readiness

About the Role:

We are seeking an Operational Readiness Specialist to join the team at Rio Tinto, based in Perth. This position will be Perth based working a Monday to Friday roster for an ongoing duration.

Responsibilities and Duties:

As the Operational Readiness Specialist Asset Readiness, you will be responsible for leading the scoping, planning, execution and management of asset readiness and asset maintenance scope, objectives and deliverables with the introduction of the DSDP project into the Rio Tinto operational asset portfolio.

  • Lead the identification, scoping and planning and execution of asset management strategy and activities, ensuring the correct application of required standards and regulations,

  • Develop and implement scope, objectives and delivery strategy for delivery of operational maintenance strategies that align with the operational readiness objectives,

  • Develop, recommend and implement strategies and tactics for improving equipment maintainability and availability to support Desalination plant operational targets,

  • Provide input on equipment selection and functionality to maintain standardisation of components across RTIO,

  • Provide maintenance leadership to ensure development and consistent application of operational and maintenance standards and practices.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous role in an Operational Readiness team

  • Proven experience in working with multiple groups, communicating expectations and influencing outcomes beneficial to project success

  • Previous role with leading the compilation and successful development of asset maintenance plans, systems and processes

  • Previous experience in Studies or major Projects and transitioning through major project stages through to handover

  • Demonstrated experience with developing maintenance requirements in large water plants, piping or processing plants

  • Water Plant operational experience 10 years +

  • Development of compliance procedures and processes
