Storeperson

  • Permanent position for the right candidate

  • Monday to Friday work

  • Possible overtime

  • $26.00 - $30.00 per hour dependent on skill set

About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experience Storeperson for a permanent position based in Parkes. This role involves not only the maintaining and housekeeping which is required to keep all items in a safe, clean standard but to be responsible for timely dispatches, receivables, stock controlling and packaging.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily picking/packing/distribution operations.

  • Allocate and monitor store personnel's workload.

  • Ensure stock is accurately checked off and booked in promptly

  • Use SAP to conduct stock takes, stock checks and cycle counts

  • Inventory management through SAP and SAP reports ZSTGR / VL06O

  • Use SAP for Stock Receipts, Goods Issuing (Including SAPPAK data), print Pickslips, Cycle counts, Bin maintenance, Inventory reports, stock conversions and FIFO; first in, first out.

  • Provide feedback to SC Manager on warehousing activities

  • Deal with Export orders and arrange for correct paperwork to dispatch

  • Liaise with the Estimator and Service Administrators in respect of dispatch / receiving / outstanding parts / delivery dates.

  • Assist in the ongoing training and development of other store personnel.

  • Ensure that TPM rostered checks are being conducted.

  • Participate in, and or conduct daily Toolbox meetings as required.

  • Management and storage of DG products.

  • Monitor consumables requirements and submit Purchase Requisitions.

  • Participate and encourage a strong LEAN/5S culture.

  • Monitor and report on KPI's.

  • Ensure Yard and working areas are kept safe at all times.

  • Implement and monitor C.o.R with all incoming and outgoing transport.

  • Maintain a high level of Service Centre housekeeping, ensuring checklists are completed and standards are maintained

  • Ensure all Quality requirements are completed for each job

  • Report Quality issues as they arise, participate in problem solving

  • Attend operational and workshop floor meetings.

  • Ensure that materials are stored and used in safe and appropriate manner

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Instructions

  • Report and work through any variances to plan or production issues with Supervisor

  • Participate in Lean and continuous improvement activities

  • Flexibility to work overtime when required, often at short notice due to the nature of the service business.

  • Co-ordinate training of new and existing staff in Safe Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and general knowledge / skills required to perform their roles.


Skills & Experience

  • Previous Stores experience

  • Forklift ticket (LF) mandatory

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Excel and Word)

  • Strong focus and commitment to safety in the workplace

  • Well developed written and oral communication skills

  • SAP experience

  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Desirable:

  • Overhead Crane ticket and experience

  • Dogging ticket

  • Dangerous goods licence

  • Mechanical aptitude
