About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a qualified Signalling Technician with a Training and Assessing background to assist Rio Tinto's Inland Signals team. FIFO from Perth on a 5:2, 4:3 roster. Working alongside the Signals Supervisors Inland, the successful candidate will be focussing on improving training and assessing quality of technicians, both new and existing.

Duties include:

• Training and upskilling of Electricians training in signalling to receive high signal technical quality

• Identifying and assessing equipment knowledge and other skills gap across contractor groups

• Provide ongoing support to Technicians.

• Be involved with Rio's current training documentation revamp and work

• Liaise with Planners and Schedulers to enable track time for training opportunities where possible

Skills and Experience

• Experience working in a similar role

• Strong training and assessing skills

• Electrical Trades Certificate

• Certificate IV Signalling

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent

• Mining industry experience (preferred)

• Trades background

• Strong attention to detail

• WA C Class Drivers Licence
