Valuation Tracking Specialist - Fri/Mon

12 Month Initial Duration Perth Based Role close to CBD Exciting Mining Based Opportunity About the Role: Total Equipment Strategy (TES) is an internal BHP program designed improve safety, reduce maintenance costs and unlock production capacity at target BHP operations through the identification and delivery of maintenance improvement projects and the deployment of best practise maintenance strategies. The Program sits within the Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence, which is a global function supporting maintenance and engineering teams to achieve exceptional performance today and tomorrow. The TES Lead is responsible for leading Total Equipment Strategy projects to deliver safety, productivity and maintenance cost improvements within Mobile, Fixed Plant and Rail maintenance departments across BHP. What you will be doing: 1) Build and lead technical teams: a) Build a multidisciplinary team with strong technical competencies and experience in delivering maintenance improvement projects. b) Lead technical teams to: i) Identify reliability improvement and cost saving projects through data analysis and validation. ii) Design best practice maintenance strategies for optimal safety, productivity and operating costs of mining equipment (Total Equipment Strategies). iii) Deploy maintenance strategies incorporating work management plans, task lists (SAP) and associated work instructions to support execution and planning teams. iv) Identify and apply Critical Controls to manage material risks. v) Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations into equipment underperformance, downtime events and other incidents. vi) Deliver improvement projects to improve safety, reduce costs and extend equipment life. c) Develop team capabilities through training and performance management. d) Drive a culture of respect and safety to support BHP???s charter values. 2) Engage and manage stakeholders: a) Build relationships with, and consistently engage, a large and diverse set of project stakeholders to encourage team collaboration and sign-off. b) Report project progress across multiple mediums and to different audiences (formal and informal written reporting requirements). c) Present project outcomes and recommendations at formal stage gates for approval by senior leadership. d) Capture and communicate value delivered throughout the project. 3) Project management: a) Document project scopes, user requirements and delivery specifications. b) Build and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project Online. c) Create project budget and track actuals against forecast. d) Identify risk and implement mitigation strategies. e) Facilitate progression of initiatives through approval and change management processes. f) Tender work packages to external vendors and consultants, including drafting scope of works, analysing proposals, negotiating and purchase requisitioning. g) Manage external vendors, including technical review, site supervision and sign-off of deliverables. What you need: Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience. Skills required: Experience leading technical teams. Experience managing projects, including budgeting and scheduling (Microsoft Project). Ability to multi-task, solve problems and meet deadlines under pressure. Ability to identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Effective communication and networking skills. Strong written communication skills. Basic understanding of mining equipment or heavy machinery. Basic understand of equipment maintenance and reliability. Good awareness of site safety culture/practices (some site experience desirable). Ideally, you will have Advanced workshop facilitation, public speaking and presentation abilities. Negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation skills. The ability to interpret and visualise data and trends and provide guidance to data analysis teams. Experience in maintenance and reliability improvement, including defect elimination, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and random delay analysis. Experience working in either Mobile, Fixed Plant or Rail maintenance departments. Experience in establishing workflows and engineering discipline. Experience managing contractors safety field leadership. Advanced IT and software literacy.
