About The Company
This company is an Australian owned and operated business that has rapidly grown to become strong players in todays aluminium building supplies industry. With over 150 years of combined experience, they have developed into an organisation that provides practical solutions for the diverse market of aluminium door & window applications as well as geometric and specialised products. They have a warehouse based in Lytton and have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join the team.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Warehouse Manager you will be required to work Monday-Friday, managing a team of 13 people, rising to 17 when the afternoon shift is implemented. You will be responsible for the running and smooth operations of the warehouse and will be required to start/finish anywhere between 6am-6pm. You must be self-driven with a minimum of 5-10 years experience in Managerial positions within the warehousing industry. The successful candidate with be responsible for safe working practices, staff performance management, training & inductions, internal recruitment along with ensuring all standards and daily productivity is met.
What You Will Need
Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager (Minimum 5-10 years)
High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) is ideal
Drivers License with reliable transport
Proven ability to write & implement SOPs independently
Proven experience managing staff from recruitment to disciplinary management
Motivated with a Hands-on Attitude
Strong leadership skills
Confident using computers & Microsoft Office
Sound knowledge & understanding of the distribution industry including experience with stock takes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & work well under pressure
Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kgs
