About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Estimator to join our client to support a bust underground services workshop. This role offers a Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm roster with flexible work hours on a permanent basis. The right candidate will be a reliable person with a solid commitment to working safely, are driven to achieve and enjoy contributing to our team's success. This is a varied role, reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will work alongside the estimating team to complete the work scopes in a manner that enables Bis to achieve maximum equipment availability, minimize downtime and manage product life.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Estimating labour, parts and equipment for machine maintenance and repairs;

  • Generate work orders for critical repairs, including generation of job packs;

  • Estimate labour hours and materials for each work order;

  • Financial processes such as: Purchase orders, Budgets and Labour Hours;

  • Support leading hands and supervisors in workshop environment.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a workshop-based environment;

  • Experience with underground mining equipment would be desirable;

  • Extensive knowledge of parts and equipment for machine maintenance and repairs;

  • Positive and proactive approach to Zero Harm;

  • Commitment to working as part of a team;

  • Well developed communication skills;

  • High level of computer literacy (knowledge of JDE highly regarded)
