About the Client:

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.

About the Role:

WorkPac is currently seeking an Analyst to join our esteemed client based in Perth. This position is Monday to Friday and offers 38 hours per week on a 12-month contract with potential to extend.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze business cases, considering financial metrics and feasibility.

  • Conduct basic financial modeling to support decision-making processes.

  • Gather and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, tailored to target stakeholders.

  • Utilize Excel and PowerBI for data analysis and interpretation.

  • Assess complex situations, identify key factors, and propose effective solutions.

  • Communicate complex concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner.

  • Prioritize high-value work to achieve desired outcomes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis or similar role, preferably in the resources sector.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing business cases.

  • Basic financial modeling skills and understanding of financial metrics and concepts.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of the mining industry, particularly in remote locations, is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and PowerBI.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in PowerPoint.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data analysis.
