About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing Logistics company. This role will focus on achieving agreed sales targets that will ensure revenue growth and profitability, identifying opportunities for business growth within existing networks, whilst managing relationships, account development and business development.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Maintain effective customer management plans that includes a formalized review structure and business plan for each client on an ongoing basis to ensure maximization of all business offerings.

• Work pro-actively within the dedicated customer base improving awareness of business offerings.

• Research and identify key customers from local, domestic and international markets and sources.

• Co-ordinate training, where necessary to ensure an awareness of the businesses offering

• Develop and maintain customer database and a pipeline of perspective new business

• Maintain high levels of activity and customer focus achieving set targets

• Pro-actively contribute to the improvement of business offerings.

• Enter customer and call activity into company CRM.

• Provide customer reports and analysis.

• Ensure all KPI targets are met weekly, including customer visits and financial targets

• Comply with all safe work practices and procedures in place by the client

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in Business Development

• Strong leadership skills

• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to close on new business opportunities

• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and client interface skills

• Highly self-motivated and self-directed

• Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible with hours in order to complete tasks

• Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks.
