About the Role

WorkPac has a position available for an experienced Condition Monitoring Technician for a 6 month project at Rio Tinto's Greater Brockman operation.

The successful candidate will

  • Perform vibration, oil, thermal and acoustic analysis techniques to ensure the health of fixed plant equipment

  • Perform vibration data collection and analysis and recommend corrective measures based on running condition

  • Carry out ultra-sonic testing and thickness testing as required

  • Provide Condition Monitoring Services for Acceptance Criteria of newly installed equipment

  • Liaise with reliability engineers, maintenance and production teams to link condition monitoring findings and other maintenance strategies

  • Coach and Mentor Lubrication Technicians to ensure high standards in plant lubrication are maintained

  • Inspect dismantled parts and correlate analysis results to as-found equipment conditions

  • Utilise other techniques like phase analysis, impact tests and ODS to resolve complicated vibration issues

Requirements

  • VCAT 2 qualification

  • Demonstrated experience working with MHM database and Emmerson 2140 data collector

  • Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

  • Computer literacy and experience with SAP
