Construction Supervisor

About the Role:

We are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join the team. You will have the responsibility to supervise a multi-disciplined team of trade and non-trade labour on the Cockburn outage to enable successful completion of an assigned scope of work of varying complexity in a defined time period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise assigned team resources to perform the scope of work

  • Effectively manage resources to meet schedule requirements.

  • Manage scope creep and quantify requirements during work execution.

  • Estimate emergent work scope as discovered while completing the assigned work scope.

  • Develop mobilisation and demobilisation plan for assigned team.

  • Manage own performance to achieve targets in a timely manner.

  • Ensure best use of resources to meet planned outputs.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and safe systems of work.

  • Develop safe work methodologies for high risk work scopes to be undertaken.

  • Develop, review and approve safe work method statements and risk assessment documentation.

  • Establish safety expectations with team.

  • Undertake safety task audits and area inspections.

  • Monitor safety performance while work is being performed.

  • Lead pre-start meetings and safety toolbox meetings.

  • Supervise mobilisation and site establishment of assigned resources.

  • Supervise, monitor performance and coordinate work performed by team.

  • Perform recipient in charge (RIC) duties for assigned work and manage work permits un their control

  • Provide formal and informal communications with the business & outage resources.

  • Develop and improve own personal effectiveness.

  • Develop open and trusting internal and external workplace relations and communications.

  • Demonstrate the values of the business

  • Supervise demobilisation and vacation of site at the end of the outage.

  • Supervise and monitor the execution of the work being performed by your multi-disciplined team of mechanical fitters, electrical fitters, advanced rigging and general assistants to achieve safe, timely and effective scope execution.

  • Provide technical input into workflows, methodologies and the development of emergent work scopes.

  • Manage work pack documentation and keep auditable records.

  • Review quality of workmanship and the quality and accuracy of closing information.

  • Liaise Synergy to ensure compliance with Synergy policies and procedures.

  • Manage potential safety issues and mitigate risks.

  • Provide a weekly report on work completed.

  • Maintain effective relationships with responsible officers on the outage.

  • Record and monitor assigned teams' performance

  • Manage the site attendance of team and submit weekly timesheets for approval.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
