About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a Productivity Mining resource for a position within the Asset Management department at Rio Tinto's Perth office. This role will require the successful candidate Monday to Friday 40 hours per week for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivering in depth analytics to identify actions and insights to drive asset performance and asset management;

  • Supporting Asset Management team with analytics to build Heavy Mobile Equipment 3m-10 year productivity pipeline;

  • Supporting capacity quarterly and annual plan activities linking with Integrated Operations, Mine Planning and Finance;

  • Undertaking ad-hoc analysis on Heavy Mobile Equipment performance and driving productivity framework;

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Heavy Mobile Equipment or Fixed Plant operations and maintenance

  • Demonstrated experience in inferential analytics, statistics and data science

  • Demonstrated experience in complex problem solving and implementing change;

  • Demonstrated experience in project management;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams and interact, influence, collaborate, and negotiate effectively at all levels of management;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS SQL, MS Excel and MS Power BI;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of database management, data integration and modelling;

  • Fundamentals at Python, R or any other coding language;

  • Fundamentals at AnyLogic, Arena or any other simulation tool (desirable);

  • Fundamentals at Azure Functions, Data Factory and Synapse (desirable).
