About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an Electrical and Control Systems Engineer. Working within the Maintenance Planning and Engineering team, the successful candidate will ideally have experience in Australian fixed plant mines and/or ports. This position is FIFO to Dampier and will be for an initial 6-month duration with the possibility to extend.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

• Electrical design for defect elimination & operational improvement projects.

• Technical guidance, design review and assurance for capital projects.

• Design validations ensuring conformance to best engineering practice based on RTIO, Australian and International standards.

• Operational and maintenance technical support.

• Providing technical guidance on protection and earthing.

• E&C Asset Management for hardware and software.
  

Skills & Experience Required: 

• 10 yearsâ experience working in Australian fixed plant mine and/or ports.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications

• Proficient with SAP

• Experience with Digsilent Power Factory

• Experienced with Wonderware development and Schneider modicon PLC beneficial

• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement

• A current âCâ class driverâs license
