About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking a Dewatering Fleet Analyst to join Rio Tinto, based in Perth with ad-hoc travel to the Pilbara. This position centres on collecting, analysing, and translating data into an actionable strategy for purchasing and assignment of dewatering diesel driven assets to ensure the reliability, longevity, and cost-effective performance of dewatering assets in their lifecycle. This position is available for an initial 6 month duration, with potential to extend.
Role Purpose:
Gather data from diverse sources including mine planners, mine water management teams, water resource evaluation teams and water strategy teams
Purchase and distribute diesel driven assets based on up coming projects, existing replacement programs and risk to the business
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to devise and execute comprehensive asset maintenance strategies
Implement strategies to extend asset lifespan, improve reliability, and minimize downtime
Detect deviations from established performance benchmarks and propose corrective actions to sustain optimal asset operation
Ensure dewatering asset activities align with environmental standards and regulations
Generate regular reports and presentations on asset utilisation and remaining hours available for assets
Skills & Experience Required:
Mechanical trade or significant mining experience in field operations surrounding diesel driven assets, preferably with dewatering
Familiarity with predictive maintenance methodologies and condition-based monitoring systems
Knowledge of remote asset monitoring and control systems for mining equipment
Proficiency in geospatial data analysis and GIS
Proven experience in asset management, or relevant fields, ideally within the mining or heavy industries sector
Proficiency in SAP or specialized asset management software.
Solid understanding of diesel driven dewatering equipment, processes, and asset lifecycle management
Knowledge of mining operations including mine planning
Exceptional communication skills to foster effective collaboration with diverse teams.
C Class Drivers Licence
