About Our Client

Peabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel. Their commitment to sustainability underpins everything they do while also shaping their future strategy.

Their sites within the Peabody Coppabella & Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) are located at Coppabella and Moorevale which is southwest of Mackay and is a Surface Mine utilizing a Dragline, Dozer and Truck & Shovel method.

What You Will Be Doing

As an experienced Operator, you will have the ability to operate Rear Dump Trucks and preferably you will be well versed in Electric drive. Applicants with both Mechanical and Electric drive experience encouraged to apply. These positions are responsible for operating heavy mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production targets safely within the Mining asset.

You will have the ability to operate Rear Dump Trucks such as CAT 789/793, Komatsu 830E within a coal mining environment.

This role will be part of a 7/7 roster working 12.5hr shifts, days and nights with meals and accommodation provided.

What You Will Need

• Previous mining experience as a Production Operator (Single or Multiskilled) within a Coal Mining setting, such as Komatsu 830, 930 or CAT 793 and above - Electric skills highly regarded

• You will need to have obtained a Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within last 2 years or be willing to attain this

• SSE signed skills list, Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia

• The ability to pass a Medical and Drug and Alcohol screen
