About the Client

Our client is a leading global supplier of technologically innovative utility, construction and mining equipment, with operations including sales, service, support and manufacturing, throughout the world. They are currently seeking a Field Service Technician for equipment service and repair work based in their Sumner factory.

What you will be doing

You will be required to work Monday - Friday working from 7am - 5pm. The main purpose of the position is being responsible for the service and repairs of forklifts in line with the manufacturers and company standards and requirements, report any deficiencies or faults. You will be required to compile clear, legible, neat documentation and provide information required relative to time keeping, job repair recording and materials requisitioning and purchasing. Operate forklifts and use tools in a tradesman-like manner, report faulty equipment or tools to supervisors and maintain the work environment to ensure it is safe, clean and tidy at all times. The ideal candidate will be someone who has the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, is enthusiastic and shows enthusiasm towards the job.

*You will be required to meet the client for a face to face interview prior to commencing. *

What you will need

• Forklift licence

• Possess relevant trade qualifications

• Understand trade servicing and repairs standards and procedure

• Ability to read and interpret service and parts manuals

• Good communication skills

• Be able to demonstrate basic computer skills

• Possess numeracy and literacy skills

• Understand the need for good customer relations and its impact on profitability

• Ability to work as part of a team
