A large scale government client who services locations all over Brisbane who???s aim it to deliver quality health to all residents through various programs, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and treatment and care. The service also supports promotion and education initiatives to improve overall health and wellbeing across Queensland.

What you will be doing

Your role will include working as a Maintenance Fitter for a Queensland Government Linen Service. Your role is to provide efficient and effective maintenance service duties, including corrective, preventative, capital, emergency and minor new works for the linen service. Working a 9 day fortnight with flexibility and great rates.

What you will need

To be successful for this role you would need to have proven experience working in a maintenance fitter role and hold a Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting and Turning Or Mechanical Fitter). Candidates who have worked within a production or laundry facility and who have worked with steam and boilers are highly regarded.

Successful candidates will ideally, but not essential, hold the following qualifications as well:

• Working at Heights competency (obtained within the last 2 years)

• Confined Space Entry competency (obtained within the last 2 years)

• Operate elevating work platform with Scissor Lift (SL) and Boom Lift (BL) endorsements (obtained within the last 5 years)

• LVR/CPR (obtained within the last 12 months)
