About our client

Our client is one of the largest scrap metal recyclers in Queensland and they have grown substantially since commencing operations in 2014. They now employ over 100 workers state-wide and continue to build their team and services. They are seeking a reliable experienced Motor Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter who is safety focused, self-motivated and flexible to join their team in Wacol, Queensland. The successful candidate must be available to work some overtime and weekends as required.

What you will be doing

Maintenance duties will include but not be limited to, working on mobile heavy processing machinery. Duties such as repair and replace fittings, stauff clamps, replacing hydraulic hoses, changing various filters, checking, and topping up fluid levels, adjusting limit switches and diagnosing issues or problems that arise with day to day running.

What you will need

• Certificate 3 in Car Maintenance / Mechanical Trade

• Drivers license and own reliable transport

• Forklift license (LF)

• Strong attention to detail

• Positive and upbeat demeanour and a can do attitude

• Ability to multi-task
